A GOOD DEED
Shalom dear friends. We are on the threshold of the main Biblical holiday. Throughout history, wherever Jews have lived, they considered it a great privilege to travel to Jerusalem for the holiday of Pesach in order to worship the Creator and to bring their offerings in the Temple.
The Jewish people kept holy the commandment of the Lord: … “Three times a year all your men are to appear in the presence of Adonai your God in the place which he will choose — at the festival of matzah, at the festival of Shavu‘ot and at the festival of Sukkot. They are not to show up before Adonai empty-handed,” (Deut. 16:16)
Today, many in Israel have not forgotten their sacred obligation: on the eve on Pesach, cleaning their homes, ridding it of all leaven, sending gifts to their relatives and close-ones, and of course, to not disregard those who are in need. And you, do not forget about this either, stay obedient to the Creator, reach out your helping hand to help those who need it. Give them your warmth and your love. If, for any reason, you cannot do this by yourself, then we will try to help you with this.
