RENEWAL

AA032789The entire story of the Exodus is connected with the leadership of one man – Moshe. In order for the promise of freedom from slavery, that God gave to Abraham, to be fulfilled, there needed to be a leader. And God called Moshe. Why Moshe? How was Moshe different from all the other people? What attracted God’s attention to Moshe? The special feature in Moshe was that he was ready to do everything for which God had commissioned him. In doing so, Moshe always had to do things that he’d never done before.

One time, he saw a burning bush. The bush was on fire but didn’t burn. This was amazing, but what is more amazing is that this bush spoke to him. In the background of the burning bush, God spoke to Moshe about the nation of Israel. And this is an excellent prophetic symbol, pointing to the fate of Israel, which is always on fire but doesn’t burn. God offered Moshe to do that, what he has never done before. God said: “Therefore, now, come; and I will send you to Pharaoh; so that you can lead my people, the descendants of Isra’el, out of Egypt.” Exodus 3:10. But I have never done something like this before, and who am I to go to Pharaoh? Do you want to see the nation free? Then you need to do what you have never done before. Do you want renewal? If you want to have that what you’ve never had before, then you need to do what you have never done before. And Moshe began to do what he had never done before:

· He went to Pharaoh and started to demand that he let the people go.

· He took on the responsibility for the nation and began to be an intercessor before God.

· He took on the duties of a superintendent and began to build the Mishkan (tabernacle)

· He, before all the nation, stretched out his staff and commanded the sea to split

· He commanded the rock and it gave water.

Why did this become possible in his life? He made a decision and began to take steps to achieve this goal, and the Lord began to help him in everything because the desire of Moshe consisted with the desire of God. Moshe was thirsty for renewal, to free his people and he received what he passionately desired, doing what he had never done before.

Many people say they want change, but they continue to live the way they always did. That is why they receive that, which they have always received. We see many successful ministries in the Bible and in early history. Many leaders put in lots of effort and today have achieved great results, and have built successful ministries. These leaders tried to replicate themselves and to put their anointment into others. But nothing came out of it.

Why does this happen? Usually such large ministries revolve around one person. Everything locks onto one main person, and this is a mistake. Disciples need to accept the principles of the ministry from their leader and receive their individual anointing from God. Moshe distributed the requirements among many leaders, teaching them the principles of management. And they began to manage problems of the people based upon these principles, but everyone did this in their own way, according to the anointing which they had. When you possess the right principles of ministry and have an anointing from God, then you are able to have a great ministry.

Anointing, is individual and cannot be copied. We have an incredible example in the Scriptures. This is the anointing that God gave to two great prophets. Their anointing was unique and belonged only to them. That, which these two prophets did, no has been able to do even to this day. Their anointing – is a visa card, by which we are able to know them: “Also I will give power to my two witnesses; and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, dressed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees and the two menorahs standing before the Lord of the earth… They have the authority to shut up the sky, so that no rain falls during the period of their prophesying; also they have the authority to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want.” Revelation 11: 3-6. We can recognize them by their anointing, they are Moshe and Elijah.

And so if you want to have a renewal. To have what you have never had before, it is necessary for you to learn the principles of the ministry, to enter into obedience before God and begin to do what is pleasing to God, despite the fact that you have never done that before. And God will give you your own special anointing. And you will be able to do amazing things for the Lord. When you have an understanding of these principles, and it burns in your heart, and it becomes a burning in your bones – then you can rise to a new level.

I met lots of theologians, who completed seminars and have major degrees in spiritual knowledge, but they are not impacting peoples souls. It doesn’t matter how smart you think you are, but if you don’t impact souls, if you don’t participate directly in impacting souls for the Lord, then you are not effective. Because the wise man is he who is able to reach souls for Messiah. Who wants to be wise? Begin to reach souls for the Lord. Begin to knock on peoples’ hearts and bring them to the knowledge of Yeshua. A person cannot be found in a neutral position. He either grows or he dies. Either your prayer life grows, or it dies. We need to ask ourselves the question, is my relationship with God growing, or dying?
